Rosie Lourd is an all-around impressive lady born on some nameless prime world to a human mother from the seed of an ogre father. From a young age, she was able to integrate with human society better than most of her kind. However, Rosie never forgave what her father had done to her mother and eventually decided to track him down and slay him to ease her quilty conscience for having been born from such an union. She did manage to find the ogre whom she took to be her father but her foray into its lair activated a portal which shunted her to the Outlands, near Tradegate. Bewildered by this setback but under immediate threat in the wilderness, with nothing to her name, she immersed herself in work as a barkeep and occasional bouncer at Tradegate.

When Rosie eventually visited Sigil in business, she was enamored by the philosophy of the Fated who were promising her that one's origin is meaningless in light of what one makes of themselves. While the Believers of the Source might also have been able to convert her, the self-made person ideal of the Fated was more to her liking. Thus, she moved to Sigil and began working with the Fated until she was able to create a niche for herself by opening the Thorny Bush tavern on Rook Street at the Clerk's Ward.

Rosie embodies the confidence characteristic of self-content Takers. She knows her worth and will flirt aggressively with any characters with either a Strength score of 16 or higher or a Charisma Score of 14 or higher. Her most striking feature is her carmine hair, which she has inherited from her human mother, and she constantly smokes a long pipe while on the job.
